What Job is the Synagogue Hired to Do?

Everything I learned about synagogues, I learned from milkshakes.  Well, not really.  But a powerful idea from Clayton Christensen of Harvard University forever changed the way that I think about the kind of questions that synagogue professionals and lay leaders need to ask.
