New Dvar Tzedek: Every Person Counts

A little over a month ago, the nation of Burma conducted their first national census in thirty years, yet the government forbade the Rohingya Muslims, a group of 1.2 million people in western Burma, from identifying themselves as Rohingya in the national census.   This week, I published my most recent Dvar Tzedek on the Rohingya Muslims, where I focus on how Parashat Bemidbar teaches us that a just society is one where every person “counts,” literally and figuratively.   You can read my Dvar Torah by clicking on this link.  Please feel free to write me with any comments or questions.
