Caring for Creation…

This past weekend, we celebrated the holiday of Tu B’Shevat, where we are given the opportunity to think about our relationship to the natural world in the context’s of God’s cosmic mission for all of creation.   Over the years, the relationship between Tu B’Shevat and environmental care has been of great interest to me, and I have regularly written articles on the subject in hopes of connecting Tu B’Shevat to a broader set of responsibilities for humanity.   Check out two articles I wrote for the the Joint Distribution Committee on Tu B’Shevat, one entitled Torah from Trees, and the other entitled Who Owns Creation?   Happy Reading!
